On Agatha Christie, Part Deux

So, I read the last post again and think “Wow.. that was long!”. I seem to be violating the rule that I feel Agatha teaches us, the Keep it Simple rule!

At least that’s my first response, but then I realize something that keeps coming up for me. I must follow my own voice, and my own need to convey information as efficiently and effectively as possible. And I find my own voice needs a few more words!

For example, I could have just put the blurb from the other book in as my post. But what would the context be? I needed to explain why you were reading about Agatha Christie on my blog about wholeness.

Then, the additional length created by my including the article I wrote about Agatha years ago. I was originally going to include just the link, but I hadn’t remembered just how short it was, so it seemed silly to send you to another page to read it.

And ok, I added the related quotes because one of my personal favorites was there: “I am Hercule Poirot and I know.” Not only does Hercule’s lack of modesty bring a smile to my face, but there is a deep seated truth about knowing who you are and an honest estimation of your abilities.

Whew… now you know!!!
